Bald Eagles @ the Cedar River Roller Dam

Spent almost the entire day at the Cedar River Roller Dam in Southeastern Cedar Rapids on February 9, 2011. Although the weather was very cold, breezy and still snowpacked, the Bald Eagles were out in full force.
Here are some of the best shots from the day; total 56 photos out of over 200 made it to this update.
Enjoy the photos!!!
Feel free to leave a rating or comment.

A member of the Cedar Rapids Police Dept took in
some of the views while patroling. The same officer came
by my vantage point saying that he gets a chance to come
down once a day to enjoy the view. "He loves it."

This one is earning his "stripes".

More Bald Eagles-Cedar River Roller Dam

A few of my Christian friends told me that there were
a bunch of Bald Eagles near the Roller Dam on the
Cedar River. I drove over to the area on February 6th
and they were not kidding.
Here are the best photos from that short shoot
(in no particular order).
I am planning to head back on Wednesday and get
more. Check back here if and when I do get more photos.
Enjoy!!!
