NS 4017 is a DC to AC Conversion unit rebuilt from former C40-9 body.

NS 2512 and IAIS 707 trailed with some extra mixed freight and the NS hoppers.

Highlighted are Downey and Oxford, IA on the IAIS Iowa City Sub.

Balloon Glow 2017

Power was CSX 3460(ET44AH), CN 2677(C44-9W) and dead-in-tow GTW 4620(GP9R), east of Independence, Iowa.

IAIS Trains

As I was heading west out of Joliet, IAIS train SIBI rolled into Joliet. I turned around and headed into Mokena, IL to try to catch it. The hill slowed him a bit and gave me time to catch him. No tripod was used, so it is shaky.

And as I was about to turn onto Interstate 380 to go home, guess who I seen. BICB was passing Hawkeye.....and so I made a dash to Oxford. 508 leading, 513 was second out.
